While the recipes in this blog post are simple, they are sinfully delicious. I released these recipes to a few friends of mine over the weekend. After reading the description, said friends promptly reported back to me that they were feeling hot, flustered, and lightheaded from the descriptions. They had requested that there be a warning about these recipes should I have felt the inclination to share them with the masses, as “they really are too good to be true!” Alas, I have made the decision to share these delectable delicacies with all of you on the interweb, and with that being said, I will give you all a fair warning about this write up today.
Warning: You may faint while reading this blog post. Proceed at your own risk.
Over the weekend I began to experiment with some of my own dessert treats. I love chocolate. I love coconut. I love when chocolate is mixed with coconut. And for some devilishly good flare to the chocolate and coconut theme, I came up with the following tasty treats! Grab yourself a napkin folks and prepare to wipe the drool from your face!
Mighty Morsel #1: Chocolate Coconut Cream Mousse
Ingredients
1/3 cup coconut cream, chilled
1-2 teaspoons raw honey
1-2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
Directions
Mix cocoa powder in the cream to create the chocolate mousse. Place in small serving dish and add the cinnamon on top. Drizzle with honey and PRESTO! You’re on cloud 9!
Mighty Morsel #2: Mint Chocolate Coconut Slushy
Ingredients
1/3 cup full fat coconut milk
fresh mint leaves (about 4 sprigs chopped fine)
1 Tablespoon Dales Raw Cacao Powder
1 Scoop Dales Raw Protein Powder (chocolate flavor)
Ice
Directions
Mix all the ingredients in a blender. You will get something that comes out like a really icy, slush like milkshake. Pour in a glass and drink up! You can thank me later 😉
Remember folks, living a healthy lifestyle is about maintaining a balance in life. There is no sense in feeling deprived when adopting newer eating habits. Sometimes, you just have to get creative with old favorite treats and make them slightly more foodie friendly 😉 I hope you all enjoy these treats! Feel free to let me know what you think about them both after you chow down!
Eat smart! Train hard! Enjoy your life!
