Happy Monday everyone!
First off, I want to give a BIG shout out and thanks to RKC Jamie Ballard and everyone at Battletown Athletics for having me come down for our first ever Introductory Primal Move Workshop. We had a TON of fun going over our mobility drills and all of the attendees came away with some incredible knowledge about how to increase their strength!
Speaking of strength, most of the workshop attendees were cross-fit types of people that were looking to open up their muscle structure to perform better. Perhaps the beauty in the Primal Move system is how to gets athletes to exercise in a manner that is fun and playful while, at the same time, working on their strength and endurance in a brand new way. No one could say it better than the guy who developed Primal Move, so allow me to quite Peter Lakatos, SFG II and Head of Primal Move directly on this subject matter.
“We know that life is movement! First and foremost, we should be able to move our own bodies! Before we grab any type of weight, jump on any machine or take any pills, we should be able to handle our body – just as well as we did when we were little kids. Just imagine if you could move again with a smile on your face! Primal Move Fundamentals is our FUNdamental division in Primal Move. We will take you through hundreds of fun, safe and challenging exercises, so you could learn to simply move again, well!”
And speaking of fun, check out this short video clip of our Push-Up Battle that took place at the end of our workshop this past weekend. We had some highly competitive people at Battletown! (side note: why NOT have a push up battle at a place called Battletown? 😉
Beyond the push ups and other strength exercises we did at the workshop, we spent a time of time getting in tune with our own mobility. Many of the participants at the workshop were able to identify certain areas that were not as mobile than others, and through the course of the workshop, we were able to work through those areas of the body to move better! Better movement leads to better overall athletic performance. But don’t’ take my word for it. Here’s RKC Jamie Ballard herself talking about all that she learned from our most recent Primal Move Workshop.
