I came back home from the Radiance Retreat this year with a new lease on life. Literally. For those of you in the Greater City of Pittsburgh and all of my fans across the globe, you may have seen the news on two fronts.
1. My little South Side Small Group is closing up for a number of personal reasons that have simply become too much to swallow. A good friend of mine told me weeks ago during my first obstacle race that being strong sometimes mean you put the weights down and walk away. THAT was the best advice I have ever received in my entire life. This wasn’t the easiest decision to make, but making that decision has given me great peace of mind knowing that I can move forward into something HUGE. I’m still training on site at the location, so don’t yinz worry about that. The avenue I am pursuing now is private training, semi group training, obstacle racing, and launching Powerful Pressing Seminars. You’re going to want to sign up for my on the main page to see this all unfold. GET EXCITED!
This brings me to point number 2. Apparently I have found some sort of strange niche with this whole obstacle thing. Ladies and dudes, I am bringing you all to American Ninja Warrior. I’m running the race. Almost an entire year ago a friend of mine had coerced me into applying for the show. The casting crew called me back in March and then I was contacted by two separate producers that would grant me access to the course. I will be testing the course Wednesday, May 25th at 4:30 p.m. Should testing go as well as I expect, I can earn an additional day of filming to compete yet again.
WHOA!
While this whirlwind of situations is intense on all fronts, it got me thinking about living my life, breathing in every last breathe of air of my life, and how I can show you and the entire world at large what it means to be strong when the the weights of your life seem too heavy and the obstacles in front of you to large to overcome. It hit me this week with a conversation I had with one of my radiance retreat friends. You have to live your life on purpose.
Live your life on purpose.
What does living your life on purpose really mean? Allow me to elaborate. Years ago when I was at a business summit, I sat in a room writing out the answers to what my coaches referred to as the three most important questions you must answer for success.
Question 1: Who are you?
Question 2: What do you want?
Question 3: Where do you want to go?
Over the past week and a half, I had to answer these questions again to find out how I can give back to the world at large. My answers will probably be different from yours, and that’s ok. Answering these questions is VITAL to your health, wellness, and success as a fitness buff. Living your life on purpose means taking yourself as you are, taking the good, the bad, the awesome and refining it. Living your life on purpose means living your dreams and bringing them to life, no matter what may lie ahead of you. Living your life on purpose means moving in the direction that you are called to serve. Answering the three questions above will require some due diligence, time, and introspection. Rest assured, bringing your life to life is worth taking the time.
